The Challenge

At WeWork, our Community Teams are the heartbeat of our spaces, working in fast-paced environments to ensure every location runs flawlessly. A key part of fueling our members' workday is keeping our pantries and community lounges activated with consistent events and programming. Sourcing last-minute supplies for member events and activations can be challenging with some traditional delivery platforms. Unpredictable delivery windows, missing inventory, and subpar substitutions do not meet the speed and quality we need for our members.

At the same time, WeWork looks to elevate its member experience by introducing differentiated perks, including food-related activations and events that would add value for the companies and individuals working within their beautiful and elevated spaces.

The Solution

WeWork partnered with DoorDash for Business to help support both their operational needs and broader member experience goals. Community managers now leverage DoorDash as a preferred vendor for activating their locations with events and programming.

To get the supplies they need quickly, WeWork uses DashMart — DoorDash’s owned convenience offering with consistently in-stock items — in key markets like New York City, alongside DoorDash grocery nationwide. DoorDash for Business also worked closely with their team to maintain consistent availability of high-priority items, reducing out-of-stock issues and eliminating the need for substitutions. This level of dependability is critical for teams managing real-time workplace needs and delivering a consistent experience across locations.
