From team meetings and client lunches to late-night launch prep, food is a part of doing business. It's why companies turn to DoorDash for Business to keep employee meals simple, efficient, and accounted for.
When work and personal orders live in the same account, it can be harder to keep expenses clean. Personal meals may end up on company cards, receipts can be hard to track down, and finance teams spend extra time reconciling charges.
Business Profiles are designed to help. This feature lets employees clearly separate work and personal meals within the DoorDash app, send work receipts to a dedicated email, and connect orders to supported expense providers so billing and reporting stay organized.
Below, we'll cover what Business Profiles are, how to set them up, and how they support your broader DoorDash for Business meal program.
What is a Business Profile on DoorDash for Business?
A DoorDash Business Profile lets employees label and manage work-related orders while continuing to use their existing DoorDash account.
With a Business Profile, employees can:
Separate personal and business meal orders in the same DoorDash account
Route receipts to a designated work email address
Reduce manual steps in expense reporting
Automatically send receipts to supported expense platforms such as SAP Concur, Expensify, Emburse Enterprise, or another integrated expense provider, so business orders flow directly into expense reports (more on that below)
For employers, this means fewer mixed charges, cleaner records, and less time spent chasing receipts — while continuing to support flexible meal benefits through DoorDash for Business.
How employees set up a Business Profile
Employees at companies using DoorDash for Business can set up a Business Profile in a few simple steps:
Enroll with your work email
Look for an email invitation to join your company’s DoorDash for Business benefits, or visit doordash.com/teams/join to get started.
Sign in with an existing DoorDash account or create a new account using your work email
Verify your work email
When prompted, enter your work email and select Continue
Check your inbox for a 6‑digit code, then enter it to verify your account and activate your benefits
Create your Business Profile
Go to Account Settings and select your Account profile
Under Business Profile, select Create profile
Add work email, payment method, and (optionally) an expense provider
Set a work email for your Business Profile so a PDF receipt is sent each time you place an order with that profile
Add a preferred payment method for business orders to keep receipts and transactions in one place.
If your company uses a supported expense provider (such as SAP Concur, Expensify, Emburse Enterprise, or another integrated provider), link your account so receipts are automatically sent to that system.
You can return to Account Settings at any time, select your Account profile, and choose Edit Profile under Business Profile to update email, payment, or expense provider details.

How employees use Business Profiles when ordering
Once a Business Profile is set up, employees can use it whenever they place a work‑related order:
Start an order
Add your desired delivery address and instructions to your account
Select a restaurant. If you are ordering for a group, you can browse curated lists that are best for large orders or group orders, and start a group order from the restaurant page.
Choose personal or business at checkout
At checkout, review your order and delivery details, and add any delivery instructions
Under Payment details, select your Business Profile for work meals or your personal payment method for personal orders
Automatically send receipts
When you select your Business Profile, a PDF receipt is sent to your designated work email each time you place an order
If you have linked an expense provider, your receipt is automatically sent to that provider and appears in your available expenses, helping you submit reports faster with fewer manual steps
If your company provides benefits such as DashPass or meal budgets, you can also see those in your Business Profile and apply them at checkout while still keeping orders tagged as business meals.
Expense integrations for DoorDash for Business
One of the biggest advantages of Business Profiles is how seamlessly they connect with leading expense tools. DoorDash for Business integrations reduce manual work for employees while helping finance teams maintain consistent, accurate reporting.
SAP Concur: Helps employees submit expenses faster while keeping reporting consistent across vendors.
Expensify: Automates receipt sharing for DoorDash business orders, eliminating manual uploads and forwarded emails.
"We’re always looking for ways to automate otherwise manual processes. Partnering with DoorDash for Business, one of our top business expense merchants, provides a ton of value to our shared customers and is win-win for employees and admins."
Emburse: Supports enterprise-level expense workflows, making DoorDash meal expenses easier to review and reconcile.
Ramp: Fits neatly into modern finance stacks, giving teams better visibility into meal spend with less effort.
Using Business Profiles for group orders
Many work meals happen as group orders for team lunches, training, or events. Business Profiles are built to support these scenarios:
Start a group order from the restaurant page by selecting Group Order
Choose who will pay:
You pay for the order: The group order creator pays for the full cart and can select their Business Profile at checkout so the receipt is automatically sent to the linked expense provider.
Everyone pays separately: Each person adds their own items and selects their own Business Profile at checkout so each portion is expensed individually.
Set an order deadline, share the group order link, and when the deadline hits, proceed to checkout and select your Business Profile to apply any eligible benefits and trigger receipt delivery.
This helps teams keep even large, shared orders aligned with company policies and expense workflows.
